The famous Gaslight House in Frederick, MD has a new life, as the Gaslight Gallery. The 1810-era formal parlor of the historically significant building provides a spectacular gallery space. The space is gorgeous with impressive antique windows and glowing natural light. The grand front parlor has been meticulously restored and is a lovely space for solo and small group art shows. Gaslight Gallery features solo exhibitions with recognized contemporary artists from across America as well as international artists. Owner Cynthia Scott Johnson is a military nomad both as a child and adult. She has now settled in Frederick, MD as a working artist and co-owner of 3 Roads Communications. The Delaplaine Arts Center provides the Frederick region with educational opportunities and experiences in the visual arts through classes, exhibits, and programs. It welcomes more than 75,000 visitors each year to its 40,000-square-foot facility featuring fine art exhibits, classrooms, special events, a library, and a Gift Gallery. The Delaplaine hosts more than 50 exhibits per year.
